- Recipients can be added or removed from the group at any point
- SMSes are sent out in bulk using the message created by the administrator
- SMSes are real-time
- SMS bundles are purchased by the client using their service provider
- The SMS software keeps track of how many SMSes' are still available to the user
- SMS's are sent out in categories
- Each category contains the list of contacts in that group group, e.g., Matric '99
- Names and numbers are added to a contact list
